Tomatoe Based Diet
Why is it that the Ghanaian diet has a tomatoe base? How many Ghanaian meals out there DON'T contain tomatoes? I'm not talking snacks and desserts, I'm talking about real food. Besides instant/microwavable fufu and banku, what other developments have been made in the Ghanaian food section. Why is it that we can't make any soup or stew without beans or tomatoes? If you're out of tomatoes or onions, you're out of luck. Why!! Why is it that I can't eat anything that's not tomatoe based and has a lot of pepper in it? WHY????
I'm tired of having to go to a butcher or an african market to find good goat meat, kako, tough chicken and kobi! And where can I find water yams? Why is it that I can only find one variety of yam? And the okra? There's just something not right about the okra. It's not as slimy as the ones back home. What's the point of having okra is it's not slimy? AND I want my ovaltine and milo and digestive biscuits and and fan milk and nido and koko and ekpegbeme and hearts and toffee. Ahhh!!!! Omo and maggi cube with a star!
Hmm. I think I miss home.
